Location

Strategically located in the heart of Rome, the Marcella Royal Hotel - Rooftop Garden is served by a wide transport network, which allows guests to swiftly reach any part of the city, including the historic and religious areas of Rome, such as the Colosseum and the Roman Forum (bus route 60), and St. Peter’s Basilica and the Vatican Museum (bus route 62).

Walking in Rome
Within just a short walk you can easily reach the Diocletiano Baths, Via Veneto, Borghese Park and the National Museum, and then just slightly further afield you can find the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain. The hotel is also located next to the former residence of the Roman poet Sallustius, which is now the headquarters of the Italian Chamber of Commerce. The district of Sallustiano extends onto the northern area of the Colle Quirinale, the former location of ancient shrines and temples, including one dedicated to Venere Erycina in 215 BC, the divinity who held religious and political sovereignty.

Metro, buses and trains
The hotel is located within walking distance of the city’s main train station Termini and lies close to the Repubblica metro stop. On request, we can also arrange transfers to/from Ciampino Airport (30-minute trip) and Fiumicino Airport (45-minute trip) by private car or taxi. Besides the city’s main train station, which is just a short walk away, you can also easily reach Tiburtina train station, within a few minutes ride by taxi or metro.
